Filmmaker Priya of Kanda Naal Mudhal fame has entered small screen with a teleserial. Priya has been working as the creative director of Zee Tamil’s medical drama Uyirmei, which will be launched on August 18. And interestingly, actress Amala Akkineni makes a comeback with this show.
The serial is directed by Bhushan Kalyan, Priya’s husband. Talking about the show, Priya said, “Uyirmei is just not a medical drama. It follows the lives of doctors, nurses, other technicians in the hospital and patients. It is a melange of all types of emotions.” Priya also revealed that an exclusive set, simulating a hospital, has been erected for Uyirmei and that the team is proud of making a medical drama for the first time in the history of Tamil teleserials.
