The long delayed Gautham Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota will reportedly be sent to the censor board in the second week of December.
According to a report by Times of India, the film’s delay was due to the financial issues faced by the team, which completed its shoot long time back. Currently the film is in its post production.
In September, the director took to Twitter to announce the completion of the schedule, along with a few pictures of the cast cutting a cake which had the words, ‘Happy Diwali 2018 ENPT’. The film, starring Dhanush, Megha Akash, Sasikumar and others, was scheduled to release this Deepavali. However it was again postponed.
ENPT has been in the making for almost two years due to scheduling conflicts. At the end of August, Gautham Menon posted pictures of Sasikumar and Megha Akash in Mumbai during a late night shoot, along with the message that the film was in the final leg of shooting.
Starring Dhanush and Megha Akash in the lead, ENPT was officially launched in March 2016 and was scheduled to release a week after Valentine’s Day this year. However, Menon began work on his other project Dhruva Natchathiram, while Dhanush had to shoot for his Hollywood film – The Extraordinary Journey Of The Fakir. The team resumed filming in December 2017.

The film’s songs which released long back – ‘Maruvaarthai Pesadhe’, ‘Visiri’ and ‘Naan Pizhaippeno’ – composed by Darbuka Siva, are already quite popular with massive reception. Interestingly, Menon kept the identity of the music director a secret for a long time. And late last year, Darbuka Siva was revealed to be the music director.
Said to be a romantic thriller, the film is produced by Madan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures along with Gautham Menon’s Ondraga Entertainment.
