Jiiva’s next with director Rathna Siva has Merku Thodarchi Malai actor Gayathri Krishna in a lead role. A spokesperson for the film was quick to point out that Gayathri is not the female lead in the project and that the team is still on the lookout for a suitable actor to play the lead. The makers are leaning towards having a completely new actor essay the role of the female lead. An announcement will be made shortly in this regard.
The spokesperson said that Gayathri has a pivotal role in the movie and a lot of combination scenes with actor Jiiva.
Much of the filming of this as-yet-untitled movie will take place in locations in and around Mayavaram. The team hopes to begin shoot by the end of this month. An official launch of the project happened earlier this month with Vijay Sethupathi as the chief guest. Incidentally, Vijay Sethupathi was the star of Rathna Siva’s previous Rekka.
The spokesperson for the film said that the plot revolves around friendship. “It is a racy entertainer with friendship as the focus. Rathna Siva has come up with an action-oriented script in his unique style that will appeal to all kinds of audience.”
He also said that the film’s story was inspired by real events.

Interestingly, Jiiva has also signed on to be a part of the 90th production of Super Good Films. This project is centered on a couple of friends played by actors Jiiva and Arulnithi Tamilarasu. Yuvan Shankar Raja has been signed on to compose the music for this film that is produced by Jiiva’s father RB Chowdhury.
Jiiva also has Gypsy, Gorilla and Kee in various stages of production.
