Gayathri Raguram, one of the leading choreographers in South Indian cinema, will now wield the megaphone for her directorial debut – Yaathumaagi Nindrai. The actress- turned choreographer tweeted a photo with actor Dhanush who recently recorded a song for the film.

Talking to Deccan Chronicle, Gayathri said “Yadhumaagi Nindrai is based on a true incident, and you can call it a semi-drama. We have completed the shooting for the film, and it’s currently in post-production phase.”
She added that the film’s cast and crew will be revealed along with the release of the first son Pudavai Nilavu which has been sung by Dhanush. Ashwin Vinayagamurthy has composed the music for this film.
Gayathri Raguram started her career in cinema as an actress through the film Charlie Chaplin. She has acted in Kannada and Malayalam films too.
