The very elusive Goundamani had recently opened up about his latest movie, 49-O, in an interview with a Tamil magazine. Back to work after a long hiatus – that too, as the hero – the comedian plays a farmer in the movie. 49-O is touted to be a comedy drama that would, apparently, make us laugh and think as well – “adhigama sirikka, konjam sindhikka,” to quote the actor himself. Reportedly, the movie is also a “political satire” and hence, the makers judiciously decided to withhold the release during the elections. That’s not all. We also hear the flick has a song that goes “vote podunga…Indiavin maanam poga vote podunga…”
And if that doesn’t pass the censor, do remember that you first read about it here.
