Actor Hariprriya Chandrasena in a conversation with The Times of India said that she would resume shooting for a an untitled Kannada remake of the Telegu film Evaru opposite actors Diganth Manchale and Prabhu Mundkur next week.
The film will be directed by Ashok Alle. Evaru starred Adivi Sesh and Regina Cassandra in lead roles,.
In the conversation with the publication, Chandrasena said: “To be directed by Ashok Alle, this is a film that was supposed to take off earlier this year, but got delayed because of the pandemic. Since we had prepared for the film back then, we are ready to start shooting immediately now. Evaru had a brilliant story, in which Regina’s character was quite good. Even though we are now working on the remake, the team came to me with a bound script, which I quite liked.”
“We begin shooting for the film next week in Hyderabad. The entire cast and crew will be stationed at the resort that we are shooting at, so that will serve as a quarantine area for us during the schedule,” she added.
Sharing concerns about the spread of Covid-19 and following the protocols, Hariprriya said: “Everything was pretty much as it was before the pandemic. And once you are in the thick of action, following safety protocols becomes difficult; you may remember to maintain distance and have food served to you by your own staff, etc., but by the second day you begin to feel that you know everyone and mingling with them should be fine. Then, only work matters. So, what I used to do was to spray myself with sanitising mist, do steam inhalation with turmeric and have some immunity boosting Ayurvedic medications religiously once home. I would also make sure that I stay in my room for at least two to three days thereafter and maintain minimal contact with my mother.”
Hariprriya will be seen in the television show Sangharsha that she recently shot. She is also waiting to resume shoot for the film Lagaam, directed by Upendra.
