Harrison Ford Under Investigation For Airplane Landing Mix-up

Veteran Hollywood actor Harrison Ford seems to have landed himself in trouble, quite literally. The 74-year-old actor supposedly flew over an American Airlines 737 which had 110 passengers on board, while attempting to land his plane. Ford landed on the taxiway instead of the runway, at the John Wayne airport in California.

A report on ET Online states that the Federal Aviation Administration has confirmed the news. “The air traffic controllers cleared the pilot of a single-engine Aviat Husky to land on Runway 20L at John Wayne Airport Monday afternoon. The pilot correctly read back the clearance. The pilot then landed on a taxiway that runs parallel to the runway, overflying a Boeing 737 that was holding short of the runway.”

The FAA is investigating the accident. This could lead to the actor losing his pilot’s license. The report further stated,  “Any pilot who violates FAA regulations can face penalties ranging from a warning letter to a license suspension or revocation.”

There has been no official comment from Harrison Ford or his representatives, yet.
