House Owner is set to release on June 21. The film is written and directed by Lakshmy Ramakrishnan who has made movies like Ammani, Nerungi Vaa Muthamidaathe and Aarohanam. Aadukalam Kishore, Sriranjani, Lovelyn Chandrasekhar, Pasanga Kishore star in the film.
AGS Entertainment recently bagged the theatrical rights, and a new poster was also released. The movie is a love story inspired by real life characters, set during the Chennai floods.

Lakshmy said in a press note, “Usually, these instances are common with big tickets, where the topmost production and distribution houses join hands. I feel delighted to associate with AGS Cinemas for the Tamil Nadu theatrical release of our film House Owner.”
The film introduces Viji Chandrasekhar’s daughter Lovelyn and Kishore who played a child actor in Pandiraj’s 2009 super-hit Pasanga. Aadukalam Kishore and Sriranjani play an older couple. The director told Silverscreen earlier, “It was an experience working with Aadukalam Kishore because he gets into the character and lives it. Sriranjani plays the woman we all see in our mothers, she’s very lovable and unassuming.”

She initially planned the movie without music, but later Gibran came on board and his tunes worked really well. “The film asked for those musical breaks, and it was very organically done. Ghibran has done a fantastic job to give a feeling of being immersed in water.” The sound experience will be a big plus and the love story promises to be relatable, she said.
Lakshmy wrote the film’s story back in 2016. The team began shoot on June 10 last year, and most of the work was complete by September. The challenging part was the climax for which they needed a water tank to be built in Chennai and it required about 12 lakh litres of water.
The songs from the film released in April. CS Prem of Magalir Mattum fame worked as the editor, while the cinematography was by Krishnasekhar. The film is produced by Lakshmy’s husband Gopalakrishnan Ramakrishnan, under his banner Monkey Creative Labs.
