Hridayam, the upcoming Malayalam film starring actors Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Darshana Rajendran, will wait for a theatrical release, its director Vineeth Sreenivasan confirmed on social media.
In the Instagram post, Vineeth revealed that Hriyadam’s audio mastering work has been completed, including the background score, and the sound design is in the final stage. “By next month, hopefully, we will finish all the remaining work and wait for the theatres to open in Kerala. The dream has always been a theatrical release. We will wait patiently for the right time,” he added.
The makers of Hridayam had earlier announced that they would bring back audio cassettes and audio CDs in association with Think Music, which had acquired the film’s audio rights. Vineeth, in a social media post on Tuesday, said that Think Music has decided to partner with a cassette manufacturer in Japan and import the physical copies from there as audio cassette manufacturing has become obsolete in India.
He also added that after the film’s release, Think Music is planning to release limited edition vinyl records of the Hridayam soundtrack, which will have more than 20 tracks including the background score.
“Once the theatres open in Kerala, we will let you guys know about the date of our audio launch,” he said, adding that the team had reviewed all the mastered tracks and would submit the final master copies to the record label on Wednesday.
The film’s music is composed by Hesham Abdul Wahad.
