The 19th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) weekend started on June 22 with the who’s who of Bollywood landing in Bangkok. The final awards ceremony will take place on the evening of June 24 at Bangkok’s Siam Niramit Theatre.

Who are the hosts?
While Riteish Deshmukh and Karan Johar will host the main event, Ayushmann Khurrana and Kartik Aaryan hosted the musical night on June 22 – the IIFA Rocks. According to a report, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor Kartik Aaryan, who was previously scheduled to perform at the main event, backed out owing to a ligament injury.
Who are the performers?
Bobby Deol will return to the IIFA stage after seven years. The awards function have a star-studded line-up, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Iulia Vantur.
According to DNA, Rekha will be performing on stage after 20 years. “Coming back to IIFA and performing on the grandest stage of all in the beautiful city of Bangkok feels ethereally wonderful. IIFA 2018 is going to be an unforgettable, magical and once-in-a-lifetime experience for Indian cinema fans worldwide,” she was quoted as saying.
