Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja is set to conduct a tribute concert for his ‘Guru’, the late legend MS Viswananthan. The concert titled Ennullil Ulle, will feature MSV’s most popular tunes recreated by Ilaiyaraaja and his orchestra. The event is set to happen on July 27 at Kamaraj Arangam in Chennai.
Ilaiyaraaja began his career by playing the organ for the late MS Viswanathan in the film Avalukkendru Oru Manam, for the song Malar Ethu Kankal Than. He then continued working with MSV for a few other films.
In his condolence message, Ilaiyaraaja said that the government failed to recognize the achievements of MSV when he was alive. He has also reportedly arranged ‘special prayers’ for MSV at the Thiruvannamalai temple.
