Industry insiders say that it is not easy to receive praise from composer Ilaiyaraaja. But actor Sivakumar got lucky recently! According to a source close to the Sivakumar family, the maestro, who watched the re-telecast of Sivakumar’ s narration of the Mahabharata on television, wrote a letter to the veteran actor, applauding his oratory prowess.
The source adds, “In his letter, Ilaiyaraaja had mentioned that he was speechless after watching Sivakumar’s speech. He also went on to say that only one who had clarity could narrate the epic in public.” Actor Sivakumar was apparently overwhelmed by Raaja’s heartfelt letter.
