Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikesi will resume shortly. The film shoot was stalled when Vadivelu walked out of the project, citing creative differences with director Chimbudeven. Since then, all work on the film has been stopped as Vadivelu refused to finish the film. He also chose not to return the payment given to him by producer S Pictures.
Vadivelu reportedly walked out of the film last year as he was not treated well on the sets.”From the beginning, there were no efforts to make sure that Vadivelu sir was comfortable on the sets. His personal costumer was replaced with a new designer and this did not sit well with him. When we persisted, they behaved very badly. That’s why he walked out,” a spokesperson for the actor said earlier this year.
This delay reportedly caused a huge loss to producer Shankar, who promptly lodged a complaint against Vadivelu with the TFPC. Several attempts were made to sort out the issue but in vain. Vadivelu refused to come to a compromise with director Chimbudeven and producer Shankar. The Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council also attempted to mediate. Finally, it was decided that the actor will no longer be cast in any of the films made by members of the TFPC.
The latest development is that a compromise has been worked out between Vadivelu and Producer Shankar. The filming is expected to resume shortly.

A spokesperson for S Pictures remains cautious about the developments. “I can’t confirm anything thus far. But talks are going on and they are positive. Once everything has been concluded to our satisfaction, we will announce the details,” he said.
Vadivelu’s manager would not comment on the developments.
Imsai Arasan 24am Pulikesi was launched with much fanfare last year. Parvathy Omanakuttan was attached to the project as female lead. The film was a sequel to Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, a period comedy that launched Chimbudeven and established Vadivelu’s career as a lead actor.
