‘India’s Most Wanted’ Trailer To Be Attached To Karan Johar Production ‘Kalank’

India’s Most Wanted, starring Arjun Kapoor in the lead and directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, is gearing up for release. Based on real-life incidents, the movie is apparently about ‘the manhunt for India’s Osama’.

After teasing viewers with roughly a minute-and-a-half-long clip, the trailer of the film is expected to be attached to Karan Johar production Kalank, scheduled for release tomorrow.

The teaser offers a glimpse of the storyline; it is about the person responsible for 52 blasts that took place throughout the country between 2007 and 2013 in cities such as Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi. This unidentified man says “Only the body dies, not the soul. So I don’t kill people. I merely help transport their souls from one body to another.”

Arjun Kapoor, along with his ‘unlikely’ gang of four, sets out to catch ‘India’s Most Wanted,’ without the aid of arms or support from the nation.

Kapoor plays Prabhat Kapoor in the movie.

The movie reportedly features Amrita Puri in a prominent role. Sudev Nair and Rajesh Sharma are also part of the cast.

The movie was announced in May 2018 after the release of Gupta’s Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid. The director has reportedly been working on the script for the past three years.

Kapoor was last seen in Namaste England, the sequel to the 2007 Akshay Kumar-starrer Namastey London. The film, directed by Vipul Amritlal Shah, saw Kapoor reunite with his Ishaqzaade co-star Parineeti Chopra. However, the movie tanked at the box office. He was also seen in an item song in last year’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero and as the male lead in Aneez Bazmee’s Mubarakan.

The actor has two more movies lined up for release this year – Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat.

India’s Most Wanted is produced by Fox Star Studios and RaapChik Films. The movie is slated to release on May 24.
