Six films will be releasing on August 29, in a bid to take advantage of the holiday(Ganesh Chathurthi). The two biggies in the fray are the Atharvaa Murali – Priya Anand starrer Irumbu Kuthirai and Vijay Antony’s Salim – a prequel of sorts to his 2012 debut film Naan. While the former is produced by AGS Entertainment and boasts of a huge star cast with the likes of Raai Laxmi and 7am Arivu villain Dong Lee, Salim is produced by Vijay Antony’s home banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation, Studio Nine and Sri Green Productions.
Joining these films are JSK Corporation’s Megha and the controversial Sivappu Enakku Pidikkum, which hopes to capture the pain and suffering of women forced into prostitution. Puthiyathor Ulagam Seivom, which was appreciated by former President APJ Abdul Kalam, for presenting a strong social message is also scheduled to release on the same day.
