Actor-director Sundar C, who was last seen in the 2016 Tamil comedy film Muthina Kathirikai as a politician, makes his comeback as a cop in the horror-thriller Iruttu directed by Yemaali fame VZ Durai. The film also features Sakshi Chaudhary, Sai Dhanshika, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu and Vimala Raman in significant roles. Produced by Screen Scene Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the movie is set to release in October 2019. While the teaser of Iruttu released a few months back, the trailer dropped only recently.
The trailer features a haunted house where Sakshi Chaudhary and her daughter Manasvi live in solitude. She is seen to constantly hear strange noises and witness unusual happenings in the house including that of her daughter being possessed. Islamic chants are heard and nuns are seen throughout the trailer with the latter performing rituals and even attempting to touch Sundar C. Yogi Babu seems to be essaying a serious role in this unlike in his other films. Shots of the police dog and people immolating themselves are also shown frequently.
Actor Jayam Ravi took to Twitter to release the trailer of the movie.
