Actor Vicky Kaushal will be playing a prominent role in the upcoming biopic on Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s life. The actor, speaking to IANS, said it was difficult for him to believe that a person lived his life like Dutt.
The Masaan actor said that the movie helmed by Rajkumar Hirani would be entertaining as it would make one cry and laugh. “The audience will get to know the true story of actor Sanjay Dutt minus his star status,” he declared.
The 29-year-old actor also said that he got to know the truth about Dutt’s life after working in the movie, and is in awe of the actor. The movie is slated for a March 30, 2018 release. It will see Ranbir Kapoor reprise the role of Sanjay Dutt, and will also have actors like Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Karishma Tanna, Dia Mirza and Jim Sarbh in prominent roles.

“I have grown up watching Sanjay Dutt’s films. I always looked up to him. But due to this story, I got to know Sanjay Dutt as a human being for the first time. I feel it will be new for the audience too… To look at him as a human being, not the star,” said Kaushal.
Vicky Kaushal will next be seen in director Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi. Also starring Alia Bhatt, the movie revolves around the story of a Kashmiri girl who marries a Pakistani Army Officer.
