Jai Quehaeni, best known for Aarohanam and Charles Shafiq Karthika, has signed to join the cast of the horror film Iravil.
Jai told Deccan Chronicle, “Iravil is a horror thriller about five youngsters who get into a predicament in the city — how they come out of it forms the crux of the story. There are two female leads in the film and I will be sharing screen space with Neha Powar and three other new faces — Prabhu, Sam, and Aasif.”
Jai says she had a “crazy experience” while shooting for the film. “We shot a majority of the portions in Chennai inside a bungalow. Ratan started this project last year and we got trapped in the bungalow when the floods struck. It was scary as we had to wait a day for someone to rescue us! This is also one of the reasons why the film was delayed. We had to restore the house completely so that we did not miss continuity. It was a crazy experience.”
Jai also said that she was very selective about the roles she would do, “I am extremely picky at this point in time, I want to play it along, and do different roles.”
