Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter have wrapped up the shoot of Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak, a remake of the Marathi film Sairaat. The movie went on floors in December last year. Back then, producer of the film, Karan Johar, shared a beautiful picture of the two leads shooting in Udaipur to announce his project taking off.
Johar has now shared another photo featuring Khaitan in the frame.
The warmest trio at @DharmaMovies !! @ShashankKhaitan is truly the strongest guide…mentor…friend And above all director! Janhvi and Ishaan are truly the heartbeat of #Dhadak pic.twitter.com/Gpcglm28Nn

Ever since the film went on floors, several photos of Ishaan and Janhvi surfaced on social media from shoot locales and it was the camaraderie between the two actors that caught everyone’s eyes. The movie will also mark the much talked about debut of Janhvi, daughter of late actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor.

While Janhvi had been in the news for a while with respect to her debut, Ishaan already has a film to his credit. He will soon be seen on the big screen in Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds. The film is slated to hit this Friday.
In Dhadak, Ishaan plays Madhuk while Janhvi plays Pari, with film shot in Mumbai, Udaipur, Jaipur and Kolkata. The movie will touch upon the subject of caste-based honour killing.
Sairat, directed by Nagraj Manjule, delved deep into caste politics and honour killing, something Bollywood seemingly appears to disassociate from. Johar, who is producing the film under his banner Dharma Productions, has said in the past that by coming on board for this project, he is giving several opportunities to newcomers, especially considering the two lead actors hail from a cinema-working background.
Dhadak is scheduled for a July 20, 2018 release.
