The second look poster of actor Jayam Ravi‘s next film Bhoomi has dropped. The film helmed by director Lakshman is being bankrolled by Sujataa Vijaykumar’s Home Movie Makers which had previously commissioned director Karthik Thangavel’s Adanga Maru that also had Jayam Ravi in the lead. The actor will be seen associating with director Lakshman for the third time after successful outings in Romeo Juliet and Bogan.


The second look features Jayam Ravi in a veshti and shirt while Nidhhi adorns a multi-coloured saree with running shoes. They’re both seated on a green vintage Vespa scooter while sharing a moment that is likely to be funny.

The makers took to Twitter to release the second-look poster.

While Nidhhi Agerwal marks her debut in Kollywood with the film, comedian Sathish is said to feature in an important role. D Imman will be composing music, Chennai Express fame Dudley will be cranking the camera, John will edit and G Durairaj will helm art. Stunt Shiva will be choreographing action sequences with Brinda master choreographing dance. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced.

A source privy to the film told Silverscreen that the movie deals with agriculture and its collapsing stature owing to the corporate world. Reportedly, the film was originally titled Sarvaadhikaari but was later rechristened Bhoomi.

Recently, the makers had released a few stills from the film. The team has reportedly completed the opening song ‘Thamizhan Endru Sollada’ recently, choreographed by Brinda master and her assistant Prashanna Babu.

The film is slated fo release on May 1, 2020.

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi who was last seen in Pradeep Ranganathan’s Comali, will next feature in director Ahmed’s film alongside Taapsee Pannu. He is also a part of director Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan whose title font was recently revealed. He is said to play Arulmozhi Varmar/Raja Raja Chozhan in the film. Nidhhi Agerwal was last seen in Puri Jagannadh’s iSmart Shankar.
