Comali starred Jayam Ravi, Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha Hegde, KS Ravikumar, and Yogi Babu. The film produced by Ishari K Ganesh under his Vels Film International banner was appreciated by audiences and critics alike and turned out to be one of the biggest grossers for Jayam Ravi.
The film dealt with a young boy Ravi who goes into a coma and wakes up 16 years later to find out that life and humans have evolved beyond imagination, letting technology rule their lives. Despite charges of plagiarism, the film turned out to be a success.
On the technical front, Richard M Nathan has handled the camera, Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi on music, Pradeep E Ragav on edit, and Umesh J Kumar on art.
