Jeyamohan: Shankar’s 2.0 Is More Intense Than Enthiran

Writer Jeyamohan, who has co-scripted the film with director Shankar, feels that 2.0, starring Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, and Akshay Kumar, is more intense than its sequel Enthiran. He said that Rajikanth’s anger, speed, and naughtiness have been incorporated into Chitti’s character. “I am happy to see Rajinikanth acting simultaneously in two films,” he added.

Speaking about Akshay Kumar’s character, Jeyamohan said, “Akshay Kumar’s character was written with a leading Tamil actor in mind. Akshay plays a strong villain in 2.0 and his character is multi-dimensional. Initially, Arnold Schwarzeneggar was ‘almost’ confirmed for the role. But, due to certain formalities, we couldn’t cast him.”

Jeyamohan said that his part of the work was completed months ago. “There’s still some fine-tuning work left, though. I have always been a huge fan of James Bond and science-fiction film. 2.0‘s script ignited my spirits and working in this film was more than satisfactory,” he said. The writer also said that Shankar’s Anniyan was his favorite, but he felt 2.0 had a better script than Anniyan.
