A special CBI court is likely to frame charges against actor Sooraj Pancholi in the Jiah Khan suicide case this week. Reports indicate that the charges will be filed on March 24.

The turn of events has come after a petition filed by Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan was withdrawn yesterday. The apex court refused to intervene in the Bombay High Court’s order, which has denied a Special Investigations Team (SIT) probe in the matter.
Actress Jiah Khan, best known for films like Ghajini, Nishab and Housefull, was found hanging in her room on 3 June, 2013. A week later, her then boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was arrested by the Juhu police for abetting her suicide.
The CBI took over the case after Jiah’s mother Rabia moved the court, alleging that her daughter had been murdered.
