Jiiva’s next film, Kavalai Vendam will see him essay the role of a chef. The movie is directed by Deekay, who impressed us with the horror-comedy Yamirukka Bayamey. Jiiva will be seen alongside Keerthi Suresh and Nikki Galrani. Bobby Simhaa is also reported to play a guest role in this rom-com.

In an interview to The Times of India, Deekay stated that Kavalai Vendam is more of a heroine-oriented film. He said that even though there have been many films in the rom-com genre, this film will stand apart with its screenplay.
Kavalai Vendam will go on floors once Jiiva completes Thirunaal, in which he sports a tanned and rugged look. The team will be shooting mostly in Chennai, Kotagiri and Bangalore.
Produced by Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment, Mukesh will be handling the cinematography while Ruben is in charge of editing. Music director S N Prasad will be composing the tunes for this film.
