Actor Jiiva has signed up for his next film with director J M Arun. The first look poster of the film was released on Friday. Talking about the film to Silverscreen, J M Arun said, “The film is an emotional thriller and I am happy to have a great actor like Jiiva on board. I have always liked his work, and when I took an opportunity to narrate a script to him, he liked the script and immediately came on board.” The film is produced by Senthil Kumar of Kothandapani Films. He also produced Jiiva’s recent film, Thirunaal.
The crew and the rest of the cast are yet to be finalised. The film is expected to begin shooting in late October or November, this year. The film will be shot in and around Chennai. “I would like to clarify that Jiiva does not play a cop like many are speculating. He is a fine actor, and this character would complement him to perfection,” added J M Arun.
Jiiva’s previous films Yaan, and Pokkiri Raja did not do well at the box office or receive positive reviews. He has a couple of films to be released this year, namely, Deekay’s Kavalai Vendam, and Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae by Ike Radha.
