Of the many films that have been shelved for a long time, one is director Cheran’s JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai. The movie, the director’s tenth, will be out on May 2. Confirming the release, a source close to the director said, “the film should have hit the big screen by the end of 2013. However, owing to a number of reasons, we couldn’t do it then.”
Also, Cheran is doing something unique with this film. “The director is vocal against piracy. To combat this, he has planned to release the film on the Internet, on DVDs and satellite TV on the same day as it will be released in theatres. He strongly believes that this can check piracy to a great extent,” the source added.
The flick, we are told, is all “about the youth” and has a song that is completely animated. The cast, featuring Sharwanand and Nithya Menen in lead roles, also has Santhanam providing comic relief. What’s more? Prasanna and Sneha will be seen together in this film!
