“I am a big Vidya (Balan) fan. I love her voice and command over Hindi, which is rare in Bollywood today. I’ve watched every Vidya film, and Tumhari Sulu, in my opinion, is her most lovable work. I feel honoured to be stepping into her shoes. Kudos to the producers and to Suresh (Triveni) for making such a lively, honest, real and feel-good film!” Jyothika is quoted as saying in the press release.
The team is finalising the rest of the cast and crew, and will share details soon.
Tumhari Sulu released last year on November 17. The film is about a middle-class woman, who takes up the job of a late night radio jockey. Helmed by Suresh Triveni, the film was produced under the T-Series and Ellipsis Entertainment banners. The movie also stars Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and renowned RJ Malishka.
