Filmmaker K Balachander has been admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai. A press note from the hospital stated that the director, who is 84-years-old, had “developed fever and certain age-related ailments over the past few days. At present, he is stable and all necessary treatment is being given.”
Balachander had not been in the best of health since his son passed away recently. He’d also avoided making public appearances.
His publicist told us that Rajinikanth, who is a favourite protege of the director, has rushed to the hospital.
