Actor Kadhal Dhadapani died this morning in Chennai due to a cardiac arrest. The actor was rushed to Vijaya hospital after he complained of chest pain. His family is now on their way to Chennai and the funeral rites are to be performed at Dindigul.

Dhandapani, originally from Dindugul in Southern Tamil Nadu, became popular after his debut in Balaji Sakthivel’s Kadhal, and is usually referred to as Kadhal Dhandapani. He has appeared in over 25 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, including Chithiram Pesuthadi in 2006, Velayutham in 2011 and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam in 2013. He was also a part of the Bharath starrer Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani which is scheduled to release next month and the Sarath Kumar starrrer Sandamarudham, which is still being filmed.
Dhandapani has 3 sons and a daughter. Actors Sarath Kumar, Samuthirakani, Sandamarutham director A Venkatesh, and Delhi Ganesh visited Vijaya hospital this morning to pay their last respects.
