Come June 7, the box office is in for a tough battle! Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s sequel to Jurassic World, will now come to scare you a day earlier. Universal Pictures India’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom gets a new release date. The film which was slated for release on June 8, will now be released on June 7, clashing with Superstar Rajinikanth’s mega film Kaala. The makers of both films have officially confirmed the news.
While the box office has witnessed clashes between Bollywood flicks or Bollywood and Hollywood flicks, this time the battle will be between a Hollywood and a regional film. Kaala, the highly anticipated film, directed by Pa.Ranjith, has Rajinikanth playing a gangster. The film also features Huma Qureshi, Nana Patekar, Sampath, Sayaji Shinde and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles. The posters of the film were released recently and needless to say it has created quite a stir. Kaala marks the second collaboration between Rajinikanth and Pa.Ranjith.
On the other hand, Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom, which is releasing two weeks before in India than USA, apparently has more screen counts than the recently released Hollywood bockbuster –Avengers: Infinity War. Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
While Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will try to establish a stronghold, it might be a Tyrannosaurus-sized battle to beat the Superstar on his home turf!
