Rajinikanth fans in Mumbai have big plans for the release of Kaala on Thursday (June 7). According to Mumbai Mirror, the Thalaivar fans plan to go on a walk, praying for the film’s success.
About 200 women, dressed in sarees, will visit a temple in Wadala. From there, they plan to walk barefoot carrying turmeric and milk in a silver kalash, to perform jal abhishek on their Thalaivar’s poster and cut-outs in the theatre.
The first show of Kaala will be aired at 6 am, followed by multiple shows across multiple theatres in Mumbai.

And this is not the first time Mumbaikars are giving Rajinikanth’s film such a grand welcome. When Kabali released, one could point out several fan moments like a Rajini aircraft, Kabali car-deals, and auto drivers giving free rides to people heading to the theatre to watch the film.
Meanwhile, an IT firm in Kochi has declared a holiday for their employees on Friday. The employees will now be granted leave if they wish to catch the film. An official circular has also been sent out.
