The producers of Kaattu Malli have filed a complaint against actress Sri Divya with the producers council, alleging that the actress went back on her agreement to work on the movie. The producers added that repeated attempts to get her to act in the film have been met with stonewalling by her and her representatives.
Kaatu Malli was launched last year by producer Radhakrishnan, with Vidharth in the lead. Sri Divya was roped in after her successful debut in the film Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam. After she worked on Kaattu Malli for ten days, filming was stopped due to a lack of funds.
After the financial issues were cleared up, the producer approached Sri Divya to continue acting in the movie again, but the actress had no ‘dates’ to allocate for the film. Radhakrishnan has alleged that he waited for a long time for Sri Divya to work on his film, and has suffered financial losses in the process. He has asked the council to discuss this issue and make a decision in his favour. Sri Divya’s representative told Silverscreen that the actress would accept the decision of the council.
