Director Nagendran R has tweeted that his next film Kaaval will release on June 26. Posters confirming the release date are doing the rounds on social networking sites. Shooting for Kaaval had begun a while ago, in 2013.

The movie had formerly been titled Nee Ellam Nalla Varuvada, but for reasons unknown, was later renamed Kaaval. The movie team has started a contest for audiences, where cash prizes will be given to those who make interesting Dubsmash videos with the movie’s songs.
Kaaval features Vimal, Samuthirakani, Gheetha, MS Bhaskar, Imman Annachi, Kumki Ashwin, Singamuthu and Deva. Produced by SG Films Pvt Ltd, the film has music composed by GV Prakash, the background score composed by Dharan Kumar, and cinematography handled by NK Ekambaram.
