Kalidas Jayaram’s film with Action Hero Biju director Abrid Shine has been titled Poomaram. The film will be Kalidas’ debut Malayalam film as the male lead and will be set in a college campus.
Director Abrid Shine is of the opinion that the role is tailor -made for Kalidas, the son of actor Jayaram. The shooting of Poomaram is set to begin at Maharaja’s College in Ernakulam next week. Kalidas announced the title on his Twitter page on Sunday.

Although details of the cast and crew of the film is yet to be announced, reports suggest that the film will have many new faces, just like Shine’s previous film, Action Hero Biju.

Kalidas has already acted in two Tamil films as the lead. His first film, Oru Pakka Kadhai was lauched two years ago, and although the film’s teaser was released in February this year, there has not been an announcement about it’s release, yet.His second film, Meen Kuzhambum Mannpaanaiyum is expeected to release in September.
The actor was previously seen in Jayaram’s films Kochu Kochu Sandhoshangal and Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum, for which he won the National Award for Best Child Actor.
