Actor Kamal Haasan and film maker Goutam Ghose have been included in the Shyam Benegal Committee, constituted by the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry on January 1 to oversee the functioning of the Censor Board. Last year, the censor board had got embroiled in a number controversies.

Other members of this committee are Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Piyush Pandey and entertainment journalist Bhawana Somayaa. Kamal Haasan is now in the United Stated of America, working in Malayalam director TK Rajeev Kumar’s upcoming bilingual.
