Kamal Haasan may remake Gulzar’s classic, Achanak, in which late actor Vinod Khanna plays a soldier who eventually kills his unfaithful wife.
Kamal Haasan told Deccan Chronicle that he was shocked at Khanna’s demise, and that Achanak was a film that changed his life when he first watched it at the age of 18.
He said, “I was encouraged to become a director. This man didn’t know it at that time. But Vinod Khanna was a precursor to Stallone’s First Blood. It’s the story of a betrayed commando who goes on a rampage. Sylvester Stallone did it many years ago. Now, I want to see where I can take this character.”
He also took to Twitter to share his grief over the loss.
A valiant fighter not only in movies. His battle against cancer was brave His his work will be remembered. No more pain Dear Vinodh Bhai
