Last time they were seen together on-screen was in 2009. Speculations are rife that Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal might come together again for a remake of Akshay Kumar’s OMG – Oh My God!.
However, a source close to Mohanlal told Silverscreen that though a production house from Kerala had initiated talks with both Haasan and Mohanlal, nothing concrete has come out of it. “The talks were held a few months back, not sure if it is the remake of OMG – Oh My God!. Given the busy schedules of the actors, the project might not start anytime soon.”

Mohanlal and Haasan were last seen together in the 2009 thriller, Unnai Pol Oruvan, directed by Chakri Toleti. The film, which is a remake of the Bollywood film A Wednesday, had created a huge buzz.
Shruti Haasan had given the background score for the film.
Kamal Haasan, who is busy with Bigg Boss Tamil, will start work on Sabhash Naidu from this month, while the post-production work of Viswaroopam 2 has already started. Mohanlal is currently working on films — Vellipadinte Pusthakam and Odiyan.
