Actor Kamal Haasan will be speaking the Nellai dialect of Tamil in the upcoming Drishyam remake. Also starring actress Gouthami, the movie is set against the backdrop of Thirunelveli and will have the lead pair playing a middle class Hindu couple, in direct contrast to the Malayalam original. Composer Ghibran has reportedly been approached to score for this movie. Drishyam‘s director Jeethu Joseph will be helming the Tamil re-make as well, and the team is currently on the lookout for a perfect title for the film.
Meanwhile, the Telugu and Kannada versions of the movie are all in various stages of production. The Telugu version will star actor Venkatesh and Meena, while the Kannada remake has Ravichandran and Navya Nair.
