Gajaraj, father of director Karthik Subbaraj, will be acting in Rajinikanth’s next film, Kabali, directed by Pa Ranjith. Gajaraj has earlier essayed small roles in films like Mundasupatti and Jigarthanda. As one of Rajinikanth’s fans, Gajaraj is reportedly thrilled to be sharing screen space with the iconic actor. Gajaraj has also been cast in his son’s next film Iraivi.
Kabali is revolves around an aging gangster, played by Rajinikanth. The initial scenes are set in Mylapore, after which, the story moves to Malaysia. The film also stars Radhika Apte, Dhansikaa, Kalaiarasan, and Attakathi Dinesh. Kabali will go on floors on September 17, and has music scored by Santhosh Narayanan.
