The Karthi – Lakshmi Menon starrer, Komban, went on floors today with a simple pooja. Attending the ceremony were Karthi, Lakshmi Menon, Raj Kiran and the movie’s director Muthiah. Several dignitaries from the film industry were also present, chief among them being the head of UTV Chennai – G Dhananjayan. The project is being produced by Studio Green’s KA Gnanavel Raja and will feature Karthi in his Paruthiveeran ‘look’. The actor was seen with a beard and unkempt hair at the wedding reception of Amala Paul and director Vijay, prompting speculations that it could be for Komban. The flick is said to have a raw and rustic feel to it and will certainly be a departure from Karthi’s recent urban movies. Lakshmi Menon is teaming up with her Kutti Puli director again while Super Subbarayan plays the villain. His son Dilip Subbarayan is in charge of the stunts, and Praveen takes care of the editing.
