Kavacha To Have Remix Version Of Rajkumar Song

Shiva Rajkumar’s upcoming movie Kavacha will have a remixed version of one of his father’s old songs, reports ToI. Music director Arjun Janaya will be remixing the song Hosa Belaku from the 1982 film of the same name and Vijay Prakash will be lending his voice for the same.

Originally composed by M Ranga Rao, Hosa Belaku Mooduthide was sung by Rajkumar. Featuring the actor in the lead role alongside Saritha, the movie went on to win several awards including Karnataka State Film Awards for Best Actor and Music Director.

The song is set to be remixed for Kavacha in which Shiva Rajkumar will be playing a visually challenged man. Directed by debutant GVR Vasu, the movie is a remake of the Malayalam movie Oppam.

Kavacha features Isha Koppikar, Kruthika Jayakumar and Vasishta N Simha.

Directed by Priyadarshan and featuring Mohanlal, Oppam had gone on to become a huge hit. If the trailer of Kavacha is anything to go by, the story doesn’t deviate much from the original which primarily focussed on a blind man and a girl who were on the run from a killer.

Meenakshi, the child who featured in the Malayalam version of the movie has been retained for the Kannada version too. Samuthirakani was the antagonist in the Malayalam film, which role will be played by Vasishta N Simha in Kavacha. The stunts for the movie have been choreographed by Ravi Varma.

Meanwhile, Shiva Rajkumar has had two releases – Taguru and Villain last year. Taguru saw the actor playing the role of a gangster. Featuring Bhavana, Manvitha and Dhananjay, the movie released in February last year and went onto become a huge hit.

Apart from Kavacha, the actor also has Rustum, Srk and Drona gearing up for release this year.
