Keerthi Suresh has signed on to star as the female lead in Maane Thaene Paeye. Director Krishna, whose last venture Nedunchalai proved to be a hit with the critics, is at the helm of this one, and has decided to go with Aari as the male lead. A romantic comedy, the movie is said to be completely different from Krishna’s previous films. The director told us that two songs have already been recorded for the film – a romantic number, and a peppy track rendered by Gaana Bala. Filming will begin soon and the makers plan to shoot both in India and the United States. The schedule will be a short one and the film is likely to hit theatres by the end of the year, according to its spokesperson.
MS Prabhu handles the cinematography for this flick while C Sathya scores music. Kalsan Movies, which is bankrolling GV Prakash Kumar’s debut film Pencil, will be producing Maane Thaene Paeye.
