Keerthy Suresh is set to make her Bollywood debut in a Boney Kapoor production. The movie, directed by Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma, is rumoured to feature Ajay Devgn in the lead. It is a biopic based on the life of the football coach Syed Abdul Rahim.
According to ToI, a source said, “Keerthy is making her Bollywood debut and it will be a new film by director Amit. The project will be produced by Boney. The film is in the final stages of pre-production, and things will get official soon.”
Earlier, Amit Sharma had confirmed his participation in the project. “My next film is a football-related film. It’s a period film… we will start shooting in next two to three months around May or June,” the director was quoted by NDTV.
Keerthy Suresh is also rumoured to have been approached by Bollywood filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor for another Hindi movie. The Iqbal and Hyderabad Blues director is planning to make the movie in Hindi and Tamil. The film is based on the issues faced by women in the society, reports India Today.

Earlier, producer Mahesh Koneru, who heads East Coast Productions, announced a new Telugu film with Keerthy Suresh in the lead. Tentatively titled Production No. 3, the movie comes as Keerthy Suresh’s 20th feature film, and her third in Telugu. The actress was last seen in Mahanati that released in 2018. It was a biopic on the yesteryear actress Savitri Devi, directed by Nag Ashwin. Her performance in the movie was appreciated.
Keerthy Suresh is also likely to star opposite Rajinikanth in AR Murugadoss’s upcoming film. This will mark her second collaboration with the director after Sarkar.
The actress is currently shooting for Priyadarshan’s Marikkar: Arabikkadalinte Simham opposite Mohanlal. It is based on the life of Kunjali Marikkar IV – the fourth and last of the naval chiefs who was deployed to defend the seas against Portuguese, by the Samoothiri of Calicut.
