Actor Kishore, best known for his performance in Haridas, plays a prisoner in the upcoming film Buddhan Yesu Gandhi, directed by Vetrivel Chandrasekar. The movie, tipped to be a thriller, explores the advantages and disadvantages of capital punishment.

The movie was shot in and around Chennai on two sets – a press office and a prison. The story spans three days, and a majority of the scenes were shot at night. The technical team includes music director Ved Shankar and editor Ramesh Bharathi.
