Rajini fans are likely to be disappointed once again, for the release of Kochadaiiyaan might get delayed further. According to sources, “the 3-D content of the Telugu and Hindi versions is not ready. Also, the film is yet to obtain the censor certificate. The release is likely to be pushed to May 23.”
Another reason for delay, we are told, is an apparent tiff between distributors and producers, owing to a lukewarm response for the movie from theatres. The producers had reportedly demanded 70 percent bookings; but have been given only 30 percent.
While official confirmation on the issue is awaited, some theatres seem to have stopped further bookings for the film, which was scheduled to release on May 9.
