New Zealand-based Indian actress Latha Hegde will be making her debut in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of Tamil film Maan Karate. Confirming the news, the film’s director Kumar Nagendra told Silverscreen, “We cast her through an agency. She has been shooting for over a month. We have even shot two songs with her”.
Latha is paired with Nara Rohit in the film, which features Kabir Duhan Singh as the antagonist. A sports comedy, the film is produced by produced by Ashok and Nagarjun, who had earlier produced Telugu film Joru, also helmed by Kumar Nagendra. The team is currently shooting in a studio in Hyderabad.
