For those thirsting for information about Lingaa, we bring some news. The team is apparently planning to reveal a few design posters of the movie soon after the release of Kochadaiiyaan. According to an article that appeared in the Tamil magazine, Kumudam, a special photoshoot was commissioned for Lingaa – something unprecedented in the history of Rajinikanth movies. And that’s not all. The article also reveals interesting details about the plot. The movie will apparently steer clear of political connotations and will be a typical KS Ravikumar fare, along the lines of Muthu and Padaiyappa.
Also, while it is a well-known fact that the Superstar plays a dual role in the flick, we now hear that it would be that of a father and son; and also, protagonist and antagonist. And unlike Enthiran, in which we got to see the ‘other side’ of Chitti only post intermission, Lingaa will feature both the avatars right from the beginning.
Here, the article adds that a surprise awaits the audience post intermission. The ‘antagonist’ Rajini won’t be the villain after all; and both father and son will then start pursuing the real baddie: Jagapathi Babu.
Also, Sonakshi Sinha’s role is brief in the movie; and will only feature during the flashback scenes with the older Rajini, while Anushka Shetty will be seen till the end.
The Lingaa team is reportedly working hard towards a Deepavali release.
