Lingaa is facing legal trouble as a filmmaker has filed a petition seeking an injunction against its release. Ravi Ratnam, in his petition, has alleged that the story-line of Lingaa is markedly similar to that of his film – Mullaivanam 999 and has asked the court to hold its release and distribution. The case has not come up for hearing yet.
Starring Rajinikanth in dual roles and directed by KS Ravikumar, the film is scheduled to release on December 12.
