Putting an end to the controversy surrounding Lingaa, the movie’s producers have finally agreed to compensate for losses incurred by its distributors. Srithar, Secretary of Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners Association, told IANS that producer Rockline Venkatesh and Rajinikanth have appointed Subramaniam, a distributor, to get an account of the losses. Once Subramaniam produces the report, it will be validated and the payment will be made.
A group of distributors met the media several times in the last couple of weeks to seek Rajinikanth’s help while Rockline Venkatesh maintained that the distributors’ protest was politically motivated.
