Actress Madhoo had filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police recently. In the FIR, the actress and her husband had alleged that a jeweller named Rajendra Jhaveri has cheated them out of expensive ancestral jewellery. According to Madhoo’s representative, the actress gave away some of her jewellery to the Jhaveris in the year 2009 to be “upgraded”. The Shahs made a payment of about Rs 6 crores to the Jhaveris, but have not yet received the jewellery back. After waiting in vain for a long time, Madhoo and her husband decided to take legal action to reclaim the diamonds.
